Business Bridge Loan Advisors

A bridge is only as good as its exit.

Bridge financing carries a business through a gap with a known end: long-term financing that’s approved but not closed, a sale, a large receivable, a refinance. Used well, it protects a deal. Used without a clear exit, it becomes the expensive debt you need rescuing from. Bayside starts with the exit, then structures the bridge to reach it.

Best for

Timing gaps with a defined end date and a clear source of repayment.

What lenders look at

The exit: where the repayment comes from, and how certain it is.

Bayside’s role

Test the exit first, then size and price the bridge to match it.

When it fits

When a bridge is the right tool.

A bridge is short-term by design, and it usually costs more than the long-term financing it leads to. So it only makes sense when the gap is real, temporary, and has a payoff you can name.

Commercial real estate bridges go through our partner network.

Usually a fit if:

  • Long-term financing is in process, and something can’t wait for it to close.
  • A sale, receivable or refinance will repay the bridge on a date you can point to.
  • Missing the timing would cost more than the bridge does.
  • You have a plan B if the exit slips.
Not sure? Request a quick review, and we’ll tell you honestly what’s realistic.

What to watch

Questions to answer before you take a bridge.

01

What repays it?

Name the exact source. “Revenue will pick up” isn’t an exit.

02

What if the exit is late?

Know the extension terms, and what they cost, before you sign.

03

What does it cost all-in?

Origination, exit and extension fees can matter as much as the rate.

04

What does it do to the deal it’s bridging to?

Some bridges complicate a bank or SBA closing, and an advance used as a bridge can’t be refinanced with a 7(a) loan. Check with the long-term lender first.

How Bayside works

Advice first. Then the funding.

  1. Tell us what the money is for

A short call about your business, your goal and your timeline. Then a short application and your last 3–4 months of business bank statements.

  2. Get your Capital Strategy Report

Every option you actually qualify for, the real cost of each, and a straight recommendation. In 24–48 hours, with no obligation.

  3. Choose, and we take it from there

We match your file to lenders whose requirements fit it, help structure the deal, support you through funding, and stay in touch after it closes.

The first deal is supposed to make the second one possible.

Questions

Straight answers.

How long is a bridge loan?

Usually months, not years. It should be long enough to reach the exit with room for a delay, and no longer.

Can I bridge to an SBA loan?

Sometimes, but plan it with the SBA lender first. A bridge can complicate an SBA closing, and an active advance can’t be refinanced with a 7(a) loan.

Do you arrange real estate bridge loans?

Commercial real estate financing, including bridges, goes through our partner network. We’ll introduce you to the right partner.

What do you need from me?

What the bridge is for, what repays it and when, plus a short application and your last 3–4 months of business bank statements.
