Working Capital Financing for Established Businesses

Working capital that fits how you get paid.

Payroll, inventory, a slow season, a big new order: most working capital problems are timing problems. The fix depends on the shape of the gap. Bayside compares lines of credit, short-term loans and other options side by side, with the real cost and payment schedule of each, so the funding matches the way your business earns.

Best for

Seasonal swings, inventory, payroll gaps, new contracts and growth costs.

What lenders look at

Monthly revenue, time in business, how your bank account runs, and existing payments.

Bayside’s role

Size the gap, compare the structures, and keep you out of payments your cash flow can’t carry.

When it fits

Match the structure to the gap.

A recurring gap, like a slow stretch every summer, usually calls for a revolving line you draw and repay. A one-time cost, like a build-out, can fit a term loan.

Revenue-based funding is usually the quickest to arrange and the costliest to carry, so it belongs at the end of the list, not the start.

Usually a fit if:

  • Revenue is steady, but the timing isn’t.
  • You have a specific use: inventory, payroll, a contract, a season.
  • You want to know the total payback, not just the payment.
  • You’d rather not add another daily payment.
Not sure? Request a quick review, and we’ll tell you honestly what’s realistic.

What to watch

What to check before you sign.

01

Total payback, not the payment

A small daily payment can hide a large total cost. Ask for the full amount you’ll repay.

02

Payment frequency

Daily and weekly payments come out whether sales came in or not. Match the frequency to how money comes in.

03

Factor rate vs. interest rate

A factor rate isn’t an annual rate, so it can’t be compared with a loan’s rate at face value. We put every option on the same basis.

04

What it does to your next deal

Some products make the next approval harder. We tell you which before you sign, not after.

Client story

An eight-year-old Miami restaurant was opening a second location and paying for the build-out out of the first one’s cash.

The owner’s credit sat right at the edge of what bank programs accept. We compared the options and recommended a $125,000 revolving line of credit with an alternative lender, drawn in stages as contractor bills came due.

The build-out finished without draining the original location, and the owner is now planning a third.

Questions

Straight answers.

How fast can I get working capital?

It depends on the product. The faster options usually cost more, and bank lines take the longest. We show you the trade so you can decide what your timeline is worth.

Do I need good credit?

Credit matters more for lines of credit and term loans than for revenue-based products, but it’s never the only factor. Lenders also weigh revenue, time in business and how your bank account runs.

Can I get working capital if I already have an MCA?

Often, yes. But adding a new payment on top of an existing MCA is where cash flow usually gets tight. When the existing payments are the real problem, we look at consolidation first.

What do you need from me?

A short application and your last 3–4 months of business bank statements. That’s enough to prepare your Capital Strategy Report.
