SBA Loan Advisors in Miami

SBA loans, without the guesswork.

An SBA loan can be the lowest-cost, longest-term money a small business can get. It’s also the product owners most often ask us for before they qualify. Bayside checks your file against the current SBA rules first, so you know whether SBA is realistic now, later or not at all, before you spend weeks on an application.

Best for

Expansion, equipment, real estate, refinancing bank-style debt, and buying a business.

What lenders look at

Cash flow coverage, owner citizenship, existing advances and, for a purchase, the equity you bring.

Bayside’s role

Screen you against today’s rules, then match you with lenders whose SBA programs fit.

When it fits

When an SBA loan is the right call.

SBA 7(a) and 504 loans are made by banks and approved lenders, with part of each loan guaranteed by the U.S. Small Business Administration. The guarantee lets lenders offer longer terms than most conventional loans.

The trade is paperwork, time and a strict rulebook that changes often. That rulebook is where applications stall.

Usually a fit if:

  • You need $100K or more for a specific long-term use.
  • Your business shows steady cash flow on its tax returns.
  • Every owner is a U.S. citizen or national.
  • You aren’t carrying active MCAs you’d need the loan to pay off.
Not sure? Request a quick review, and we’ll tell you honestly what’s realistic.

What to watch

Four SBA rules that stop applications.

01

Citizenship

Since March 1, 2026, every owner and required guarantor must be a U.S. citizen or national living in the U.S. A green-card holder at any ownership percentage now makes the business ineligible.

02

Active MCAs

An active merchant cash advance or factoring facility can’t be refinanced with a 7(a) loan. Restructuring comes first.

03

Cash flow coverage

Most 7(a) loans need cash flow of at least 1.10x to 1.15x the debt payments. Acquisitions need 1.25x on historical earnings, and projections don’t count.

04

Credit elsewhere

The lender has to document that you can’t get the same credit on reasonable terms without the SBA guarantee.

  3. Choose, and we take it from there

We match your file to lenders whose requirements fit it, help structure the deal, support you through funding, and stay in touch after it closes.

Questions

Straight answers.

Is Bayside an SBA lender?

No. SBA loans are made by banks and approved lenders. Bayside is a capital advisor: we screen your file against the current rules, prepare it, and match it to lenders whose SBA programs fit.

What credit score do I need for an SBA loan?

The SBA itself doesn’t set a minimum score, and the credit screen it used for 7(a) Small loans ended on March 1, 2026. Each lender applies its own credit standards, which is why matching you to the right lender matters.

Can I use an SBA loan to pay off my MCAs?

Not while they’re active. Under current rules, active MCAs can’t be refinanced with a 7(a) loan. The usual path is to restructure them first, then make SBA the next move.

How long does an SBA loan take?

Longer than most alternatives. The application, the lender’s underwriting and the SBA’s own rules all take time, and incomplete files take longer. We’ll tell you up front whether your timeline fits an SBA loan or needs a bridge.
