Invoice Factoring and A/R Financing Advisors

Get paid for work you’ve already done.

When customers pay on 30, 60 or 90-day terms, growth can stall waiting on your own receivables. Invoice factoring and A/R financing turn unpaid invoices into working capital. Bayside helps you pick the right structure, compares the real cost across providers, and makes sure the agreement doesn’t create a new problem.

Best for

B2B businesses with creditworthy customers on net-30 to net-90 terms.

What lenders look at

Your customers’ credit and payment history, as much as yours.

Bayside’s role

Choose factoring or an A/R line, compare cost on the same basis, and check the fine print.

When it fits

When your receivables can carry the funding.

Factoring and A/R financing are built on invoices you’ve already earned. Because the funder is relying on your customers to pay, approval often depends more on their credit than on yours.

That makes it a strong fit for growing businesses that sell to other businesses and can’t afford to wait for payment.

Usually a fit if:

  • You invoice other businesses or institutions, not consumers.
  • Your customers pay reliably, just slowly.
  • Bigger orders are coming and you need cash to fill them.
  • You’re using MCAs to cover gaps that are really about invoice timing.
Not sure? Request a quick review, and we’ll tell you honestly what’s realistic.

What to watch

What to check in a factoring agreement.

01

How the fee is quoted

Factoring fees are often quoted per 10 or 30 days. Put them on an annual basis before you compare them with anything else.

02

Recourse

With recourse, you buy back invoices your customer doesn’t pay. Without recourse, the factor takes that risk and usually charges more for it.

03

Notification

Many factors collect directly from your customers. Know how that conversation will go before it happens.

04

Minimums and terms

Monthly volume minimums, long contract terms and termination fees can add real cost on top of the fee.

Client story

A 12-year-old craft brewery was growing distributor orders on net-30 to net-60 terms, while daily MCA payments drained the cash it needed to fill them.

Instead of another advance, we mapped how the daily payments collided with the distributors’ payment cycles, then matched the brewery with an A/R financing company: a facility of up to $150,000 against eligible invoices.

Invoices now turn into working capital instead of a 30–60 day wait, and the brewery fills bigger orders without another daily payment.

“I had no idea that I could factor my pending A/R to access my capital. I was convinced that MCAs were the only way to access fast cash, but it came at an expensive price.”— Craft brewery · San Diego, CA

Questions

Straight answers.

Will my customers know I’m factoring?

With most factoring, yes: the factor usually collects from them directly. With an A/R line, you usually keep collecting yourself. We’ll tell you which structure fits how you want to handle your customers.

Do I need good credit to factor invoices?

Your customers’ credit usually matters more than yours, because they’re the ones paying. Your own credit and history still play a part.

Can factoring replace my MCAs?

Sometimes. When an MCA is really covering the wait for invoices to be paid, factoring ties the funding to the receivable instead of to daily sales. That’s what the brewery above did.

What do you need from me?

A short application, your last 3–4 months of business bank statements, and an accounts receivable aging report.
