Services / MCA consolidation
Get out from under your MCA payments.
When two, three or four merchant cash advances pull from the same account every day, a good month can still feel like a bad one. Some offers called MCA consolidation just add one more advance on top. Bayside shows you what your MCAs really cost, which route would actually lower the pressure, and how to get back toward bank and SBA terms.
Businesses carrying one or more MCAs or short-term loans with daily or weekly payments.
Revenue, what you owe and to whom, your payment history, and time in business.
Price what you owe today, compare the routes honestly, and plan the way back to bank terms.
When it fits
Consolidation makes sense when the payments, not the business, are the problem: revenue is real, but daily MCA debits don’t match when money actually comes in.
Done well, it trades several daily payments for one you can carry. Done badly, it costs more, fixes nothing, and you’re back in six months for the next advance.
What to watch
The new schedule should leave more cash in the account each week, not move the same daily pressure to a new funder.
Compare what you’d repay in total under the new deal with what you owe on your MCAs today.
If an offer leaves your existing MCAs in place and adds another advance, it isn’t consolidation.
The best consolidation is a step toward term debt and, later, bank or SBA financing, not the next renewal.
Side by side
| MCA buyout | Term consolidation | Reverse consolidation | |
|---|---|---|---|
| How it works | A new funder pays off your existing MCAs in full | Your balances are refinanced into one loan on a fixed schedule | A funder makes your existing MCA payments for you, and you repay it on a longer, lower schedule |
| What changes | Several daily payments become one | Daily debits become one payment, usually weekly or monthly | Your payment drops; the existing MCAs run until they’re paid |
| Watch for | A new advance with the same daily pressure | It takes stronger revenue and credit to qualify | Added total cost in exchange for the lower payment |
| Best when | You qualify for better terms than you have now | Cash flow supports a term loan | You need relief now and can’t refinance yet |
Terms vary by funder and by file. An active MCA can’t be refinanced with an SBA 7(a) loan (SBA SOP 50 10 8.1, effective October 1, 2026; Coleman Report, September 2026).

Questions
That’s the goal, and it’s the first thing we check. Some routes lower the payment and raise the total cost. We show you both numbers before you decide.
Not while they’re active. Current SBA rules don’t allow active MCAs to be refinanced with a 7(a) loan. The usual path is to consolidate or restructure first, then make SBA the next move.
A buyout pays your MCAs off in full with new funding. A reverse consolidation leaves them in place and makes the payments for you, so your own payment drops while the total cost goes up. We tell you which fits your numbers.
Credit matters, but revenue and payment history often matter as much. Each route has different requirements, which is why we compare them.
A short application, your last 3–4 months of business bank statements, and the contracts or balances for your current MCAs and loans.
