Fitness & wellness funding

Funding for gyms and studios built on recurring members.

An established gym or studio has recurring membership revenue, which gives a lender something predictable to underwrite. It also has big upfront costs: equipment, build-outs and new locations. Bayside is a Miami-based capital advisory firm. We compare equipment financing, term loans, SBA loans and lines of credit for fitness and wellness operators, and show you the real cost of each.

Where the cash gets stuck

Recurring revenue. Lumpy costs.

01

Equipment is the biggest line item

Racks, cardio and specialty equipment can cost as much as the space, and it wears out on a schedule.

02

Build-outs before members

A new studio pays rent, contractors and staff before the first membership bills.

03

Sign-ups rise and fall

Membership revenue moves through the year. Payments sized for the best month squeeze the slow ones.

04

Lenders read the deposits

Lenders underwrite what lands in your bank account. Clean, steady recurring billing makes a stronger file than a strong month.

Meet your funding advisors
  • Two or more years operating, with business bank statements that show the membership deposits.
  • Your membership count and billing mix: monthly, annual and class packs.
  • The lease, the contractor bid and a budget, if you are building out a new space.
  • Quotes for the equipment, if you are financing equipment.
  • A list of any loans or MCAs outstanding, with balances and payments.

Quick questions

Fitness & wellness funding, answered.

Can I finance a full equipment package for a new studio?

Yes, when the business behind it is established. The equipment is the collateral, and lenders still look at time in business, revenue and credit. A brand-new studio with no operating history is outside what we do.

Does recurring membership revenue help?

It helps a lender see predictable cash flow in your bank statements. Lenders still underwrite on what is deposited, not on the contracts alone.

Do you work with physical therapy and rehab practices?

Yes, when the practice is established and the funding need is $100K or more. Insurance-billed and cash-pay practices are underwritten differently, and we take that into account when we match the file to lenders.

Do you work with businesses outside Miami?

Yes. We are based in Miami and focused on South Florida, and our lender network serves qualified businesses nationwide.
